Ambition is back in the studio, hard at work on his solo debut album titled 'Better Man'. After years of putting in work within the underground scene of Canada's east coast, Ambition is set to release his full-length debut LP.
The album is produced entirely by Backburner's Dexter Doolittle, and features guest spots from Supastition of Reform School Music and Ghettosocks of the Alpha Flight Crew.
'Better Man' is scheduled for a late September release date, following up with a tour to promote the album in the early Fall. Dates and special guests will be announced in the coming weeks.
For those patiently waiting for the LP, Ambition will be releasing a mixtape with Uncle Fester at the end of August, which will be available at - BackburnerDOTca

I pretty much took the last couple weeks off the blog to put some SERIOUS work into the record so here's the deal. I'm going to break y'all off with some fire on the DAILY. videos, kicks, stories AND most importantly (to me, at least) keep all posted on the progress of the upcoming album. Right now what's 100% is.. Dex D is on the beats, i'm on the raps the whole way thru (with the exception of ONE guest as long as he gets me his verse on time LOL..) The NEW PlayStation AF1 10 Year Anniversary
The ICON is back! One of the most sought after Air Force Ones ever created is back to celebrate the 10th birthday of the PlayStation 2. Itself a pop culture icon, with more than 140 million units sold around the world, the PlayStation 2 turned 10 this month.
When Nike and PlayStation first got together over 4 years ago to create the PlayStation AF1, the shoe was built into a publicity plan for their NBA basketball game. It featured not only the distinctive colorway born from the PS2 logo, but also a liner featuring imagery from NBA “The Life.” But what really set the shoe apart and made it so hot was Nike and PlayStation’s willingness to try something that hadn’t been done before - gradient color bleeds on leather. The results became the #2 all-time AF1 colorway in our 100 Greatest Kicks in Issue 24. But that wasn’t the end of the two brands collaborating.

On Friday, March 6th, at the House Of Hoops in New York City, the Jordan True Flight released in Rip Hamilton’s home PE colorway. In white/varsity royal/ varsity red, the True Flight PE for Hamilton features ‘Rip City’ along the tongue for some added personalization and also includes a combination of white patent leather and synthetic leather along the upper. Finally! Confirmed Nike Air Yeezy Release Info!
Finally, the news we’ve all been waiting for. After endless speculation and “confirmations” on release dates that never materialized, we now finally have launch information and images of the three colorways of Kanye’s designed Nike Air Yeezy that Nike indeed plans on releasing! Pay close attention style stans, as it appears the Air Yeezy will be delayed well into the Fall and Holiday ‘09 timelines, as compared to the originally “confirmed” March launch date. With a price teetering around the $200 stratosphere, the Air Yeezy will definitely not come cheaply (Special Note: You can’t buy class), but hey, it might be worth it to you after all, considering that initially sounds better than dropping over double on Martin Louis’ upcoming LV collection.
Made of seriously fine quality leather and textured materials, the Air Yeezy sits atop the iconic Air Jordan III/Air Revolution shared tooling, and certainly makes for a jean friendly look with it sky-reaching tongue and versatile midfoot strap hardly meant for lateral support. Other sharp details include a glow-in-the-dark outsole to tie into last year’s ground-breaking concert tour, as well as unique lace lock system and repeated Y-patterned graphics found along the toe cap and midfoot strap. All three colors also feature subdued leather and suede uppers with bring accent color linings. With Kanye’s vision and Mark Smith’s ability to bring the shoe to life, the resulting Air Yeezy has seemingly been talked about for years now, but alas, it appears an imminent launch is surely inevitable during the second half of this year after all!

what's good y'all. I got to witness DJ Premier blow the roof off Peddlers last night, all I can say is WOW. My mens 4PLAE got it in on the 1s and 2s (and 3s and 4s). Dope as always. And THEN.. Aside from putting it down for close to 2 hours, Preem has some of the best mic skills i've ever seen. The whole spot was with em from start to finish. EMCEES could learn from this guy, it was wild. Oh and of course BLAQ POET! Huaaaanhhnnhh! I'm gonna learn how to actually spell that shit and get it tattooed on my chest. Mad people out, I came very close to fucking up the Reeboks a number of times but pulled it off. What a huge night for hip hop in Halifax, BIG BIG shouts to the guys at Underdog Productions for putting this on, as well as LIFTED. THANK YOU!

Lemme take ya to Flight School..
Sooo.. it's Tuesday night, just a little bit past midnite and your boy is loungin. Just watched the Address to Congress which just further confirmed Barack is that DUDE!
Beyond that, I wanted to take a couple minutes to hop on the blog and get some thoughts out.
I love Hip Hop. I can say unequivocally that without it my life would be upside down. It still amazes me sometimes that I can get on a stage in a bar full of people who i've never met, and connect with every single one of them. The way I see it is.. most of the rhymes I write are just things I feel a certain way about (women, rapping, sneakers, love) and I take the art form as serious as life, but I just say these things because they're fun to me. I don't make music to preach to people. I don't make it strictly for funds (cause TRUST, I would've gave up a while ago ha haaa) I just talk about my real life. And when people relate to your boy it's INCREDIBLE.
I love being in the studio. The spot is home. It's like the ball court to LeBron, or the runway to sexy ass Tyra Banks (hi Jackie). It's where nothing matters but making great records. Speaking of which, the solo jaunt is coming. I don't have a date, or cover, or tracklisting for y'all but I PROMISE it will be some next shit.
And finally, some shouts. Thank you to every DJ whose ever played my shit. To every girl whose ever told me I was beautiful. Anybody whose ever booked me (and paid me) for shows. Umm, thanks to all the musicians, emcees and beatmkers that inspire. And also, Taraji P Henson for bein' BAD as FUCK.

2009 marked the beginning of the release of several packs premiering from Reebok including the Reebok - Miami Vice Pack and Reebok Pump Omni Lite - Monsters Pack. Here's another pack to add to that list; the Reebok x Chapter World - Juggernaut Pack. Two more sneakers have been created as the result of a collaboration between Reebok and Chapter World of Japan.
The Pump Omni Lite and Court Victory Pump are the shoes they choose to work with. The Omni Lite is composed of an all blue base with matching shoe-laces as well as a blue in-sole. The same goes for the all red Court Victory Pump. Each shoe has the Juggernaut character from Chapter World drawn on the inner sole.

Nike Zoom MVP: Young Guns Player Exclusives
Young Gun’s Brandon Roy and Deron Williams have had their own player exclusive versions of the Nike Zoom MVP mocked up. It isn’t clear whether or not either player will be wearing these on the court but it’s a nice change of pace for each from the forgettable Nike Blue Chip and the hit or miss Zoom Phenom. Each shoe features the player’s nickname on the lateral heel portion above the midsole and a colorway representative of their team. Also look for the use of multiple materials and textures on each pair. It’d be nice to see these get a release like the previous Young Gun’s sneakers, meaning an easy cop at Eastbay. And yes, there’s a player exclusive colorway yet to be seen for fellow Young Gun Rudy Gay as well.

KID CUDI TASERED AND ARRESTED AT AN NBA ALL-STAR PARTY
Rapper Kid Cudi has been involved in an altercation that has resulted in the Cleveland native being tasered and apprehended by authorities, according to multiple sources.
Detail are sketchy, but the rapper apparently was involved in a fight or altercation while at the Reebok party in Phoenix, Arizona. Much of the music industry is in the city celebrating the NBA's popular All-Star weekend.
Eyewitnesses stated that Kid Cudi physically and verbally confronted a pair of Reebok employees. The artist was booked by the apparel company to perform at the venue.
Sources said that Cudi wanted to wear Jordan sneakers on stage, a move that did not agree with the people of Reebok.
Authorities intervened after the confrontation escalated and Cudi was tasered, a move to control his behavior.
The rapper was presumed arrested by police, but actual charges have not been revealed.
A representative for Kid Cudi was not available at press time.
Allen Iverson, a Reebok endorsed athlete, attended the party.
